I am an Instructor in the History Programme, as well as Chair of the Department of History, Latin and Political Science, at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada. I am also an Adjunct Professor in the Program of Medieval Studies at the University of Victoria.
My research focuses on interactions between the Middle East and Europe in the Middle Ages, including the preaching of the Muslim jihad against the crusaders, Middle Eastern images of mediaeval Europe, Muslim women and the crusades, and reflections of history in popular culture.
